The Guideboat Show
The Guideboat show was developed to educate residents and visitors about these historic crafts and their builders. It has enthusiastically been adopted by the Hotel Saranac and is held annually in their ballroom.
The Willard Hanmer Guideboat & Canoe Race
An important part of Adirondack heritage, the Willard Hanmer Guideboat & Canoe race (the Hanmer) first ran in 1963 as a tribute to the famous Saranac Lake, NY Guideboat builder, Willard J Hanmer.
